PROCESS ENGINEER - NEW YORK OPERATION/CALIFORNIA OPERATION

 

Coast to Coast Circuits, a leading manufacturer of Rigid, Rigid-Flex, and

Flex Circuit Boards, is seeking self-motivated process engineers for its

New York and California operations with a bachelor’s degree, preferably

in Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.

 

The responsibilities of this candidate include design and conducting design of experiments, data analysis, process capability evaluation (Cp and CpK), technical report preparation, quantitative analysis, creating statistical process control, research and development projects, Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility studies, design and layout for new plating processes, solution development  for a broad range of technical problems applying chemical and mechanical engineering principles, theory and concepts. Focusing on developing new plating technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency and minimizing costs is imperative. Other responsibilities include ensuring documentation of processes are incorporated into work instructions, training guides, and test certifications. This candidate must also maintain current knowledge on industry standards to support customers and internal design reviews to ensure compatibility of processing techniques.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering ​(MS Chemical Engineering preferred)

  • 7 or more years of relevant work experience in a plating process environment

  • Training in Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Statistical Process Control 

  • Capability for designing and analyzing experiments utilizing statistical tools and design of experiment

  • Ability to interface with customers

  • Significant experience with PCB manufacturing plating and chemical processes

  • Strong project management, structured problem solving with the ability to make ethical decisions, data analysis and working knowledge of Word, Excel, E-mail, CAM, and Minitab

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including strong verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Working knowledge and application of SPC, ISO and IPC standards

  • ​Must be eligible to work on defense and satellite programs subject to ITAR Regulations
